Wendy

The Boss

Wendy runs the ranch. She sets the schedule, the events, the direction, and the passion.

Riding

Wendy’s been riding since she was a wee lassey. Her parents bred and raised Arabians. Wendy enjoyed riding but always looked for a little more. As she grew she wanted something a little bigger and found a draft that she fell in love with. Wendy now loves showing the versatility of the draft as she rides dressage, side saddle, trails, foxhunting as well as pulling farm equipment and driving a variety of vehicles with them.

Driving

Eventually a friend in the draft world took Wendy on a carriage ride, and that was basically the moment she was sold on drafts.  She now has a variety of farm equipment and vehicles to drive from an 1800s Drs Buggy to newer modern forecarts.

Paul

The Labor

I'm Pau, the ranch labor.

What a boy will do for a girl…

Paul’s experience with horses was limited to horse summer camp programs until he met Wendy in high school. Wendy took Paul on a few trail rides ‘back in the day’ but it wasn’t until they reconnected in 2014 where horses would become a central part of his life.

The ride

Paul now rides frequently to help exercise the horses with Wendy. He also drives frequently showing and competing at events from the California State Fair to Draft Horse Classic.
